Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Shadow physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during rounds, clinics, and procedures.
• Observe patient interactions and contribute to maintaining a comforting environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks, data entry, and record keeping as needed.
• Participate in departmental meetings and educational sessions.
• Learn about hospital protocols, patient safety, and healthcare ethics.
• Engage in small research projects or literature reviews under supervision.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and hospital data.

Required Skills

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate pre-medical program or related science field.
• Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in medicine.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sensitive environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous volunteer experience in a healthcare setting.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
