Job Description
Join Micron Technology for an exciting Summer IT Internship in Meridian, Idaho. This program offers a unique opportunity for aspiring IT professionals to gain hands-on experience in a leading global semiconductor company. You will work alongside experienced engineers and professionals, contributing to real-world projects that impact our global operations. This internship is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to enterprise IT environments, including network infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, and help desk operations. Interns will develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of IT within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Participate in network monitoring and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability assessments and incident response planning.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and inventory.
- Support data backup and recovery operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various IT projects.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
