Job Description

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of Human Resources? Our Summer HR Internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global financial institution, working alongside experienced HR professionals. This program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to various HR functions, developing your skills and understanding of talent management, employee relations, recruitment, and HR operations within a fast-paced corporate environment. You will be an integral part of our team, supporting key initiatives and projects that directly impact our employees and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the full cycle of recruitment, including posting job descriptions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support HR Business Partners with employee relations cases and policy implementation.
  • Contribute to the onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing employees.
  • Participate in HR project work related to talent development, compensation, or diversity and inclusion.
  • Maintain and update HR databases and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR metrics and initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of internal HR events and communications.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated interest in a career in Human Resources.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (academic or professional) with HR software or systems.
  • Understanding of basic UK employment law principles.
  • Experience in data analysis and presentation.
  • Leadership experience in student organisations or community activities.
