Job Description
Walt Disney Imagineering is seeking a motivated and analytical Summer Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team in Glendale, CA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis within the exciting world of themed entertainment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to projects that leverage data to enhance guest experiences, optimize operations, and inform strategic decisions for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. This is a chance to apply your analytical skills in a creative and innovative environment, contributing to the magic that defines Disney.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
- Assist in the creation of predictive models and statistical analyses.
- Collaborate with Imagineers from different disciplines to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in data analysis.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
