Job Description
Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Radiologist to join our dynamic team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is an exceptional opportunity for an internationally trained Radiologist seeking to practice in the United States, as we offer comprehensive visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, participating in interdisciplinary conferences, and providing high-quality patient care within a world-class academic medical environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine studies.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to referring physicians.
- Consult with clinicians on appropriate imaging protocols and findings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical conferences and tumor boards.
- Mentor and educate residents and fellows, if applicable.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Potentially perform image-guided procedures, depending on subspecialty and interest.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology residency program.
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license.
- Demonstrated eligibility for J-1 waiver or H-1B visa sponsorship (or equivalent).
- Excellent diagnostic interpretation skills across various modalities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a fellowship in a subspecialty area (e.g., Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Abdominal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Interventional Radiology).
- Experience in an academic medical center or high-volume practice.
- Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
- Record of scholarly activity or research contributions.
