Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex enterprise-level solutions, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and technical standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, business analysts, and development teams, to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet project needs and strategic goals.
- Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, and integration strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and performance requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve architectural frameworks and solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, estimation, and technical presentations to prospective clients.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in a complex IT environment.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns, design principles, and best practices (e.g., microservices, event-driven, cloud-native).
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience designing cloud-based solutions.
- Expertise in enterprise integration patterns and technologies (APIs, ESBs, message queues).
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF).
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with data architecture, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
- Prior experience working in a consulting environment.
