Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solicitor or Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team in Kansas City, MO. This role is ideal for a dedicated legal professional looking to advance their career with a leading firm and requires expertise in general corporate law or commercial litigation. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, provide expert legal advice to clients, and contribute to complex legal strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation to clients on a range of legal matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis, preparing legal opinions, memorandums, and briefs.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
• Manage a diverse caseload, which may include transactional work, litigation support, and regulatory compliance.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings as required.
• Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff.
• Stay abreast of legal developments and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Required Skills

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. state (Missouri Bar preferred or eligibility/willingness to sit for the bar exam).
• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience practicing law in a reputable firm or in-house legal department.
• Demonstrated expertise in general corporate law, commercial litigation, or a related field.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Superior written and verbal communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international clients or on cross-border transactions.
• An advanced legal degree (e.g., LL.M.).
• Proven track record of successful case management and client satisfaction.
• Fluency in a second language.
