Job Description
Pallett Valo LLP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solicitor / Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team in Brampton, Ontario. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of legal cases, from inception to resolution.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on various matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advice.
- Represent clients in court, tribunals, or alternative dispute resolution proceedings as required.
- Liaise effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
Required Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. degree from an accredited law school.
- Called to the Bar in Ontario, or eligibility for licensure in Ontario through the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) process.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-call experience as a Solicitor or Lawyer.
- Strong understanding of Canadian law, particularly in corporate, commercial, or litigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a demanding caseload and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with immigration processes for legal professionals.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the diverse population of Brampton.
- Experience in real estate law or family law.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
