Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in St. Louis. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and improving critical features for one of the world’s leading audio streaming platforms. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world projects, solving complex technical challenges, and learning best practices in software development, agile methodologies, and large-scale system design. This hybrid role requires a presence in our St. Louis office for collaborative work while also offering flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software features for Spotify's platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in collaboration with a mentor and team members.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and development processes.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, JavaScript).
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Previous internship or project experience in software development.
- Experience with web technologies (e.g., React, Node.js) or mobile development (iOS/Android).
