Job Description
As a Social Media Chat Moderator, you will be responsible for real-time monitoring of user-generated content and discussions on our social media platforms. Your primary goal will be to maintain a safe, friendly, and compliant online space. This involves reviewing chat messages, comments, and other user content, identifying and addressing violations of community standards, and providing timely and helpful responses to user inquiries. This role requires excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding our platform’s integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor live chat conversations and user-generated content across various social media platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and terms of service.
- Proactively identify, review, and take appropriate action on content that violates policies, including spam, hate speech, harassment, misinformation, and other inappropriate material.
- Engage with users to answer questions, provide support, and guide them on platform features and community standards.
- Escalate complex issues or serious violations to senior moderators or relevant teams for further investigation and resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of moderation actions and report on trends in user behavior or content violations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of moderation processes and guidelines by providing feedback and insights.
- Stay informed about emerging online trends, community issues, and platform updates.
Required Skills
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with strong grammar and spelling.
- Proficiency in Cantonese is a significant advantage for local user engagement.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and online community dynamics.
- Comfortable with sensitive content and able to maintain composure under pressure.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
