Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to one of Europe’s largest e-commerce platforms from anywhere in Germany. As a Social Media Assistant, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy, engaging with our vibrant community, and supporting campaigns that enhance our brand’s online presence. You will work closely with content creators, marketing managers, and analysts to ensure our social media channels reflect our brand identity and connect with our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging content across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.).
• Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and community engagement opportunities.
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive online community.
• Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns and promotions.
• Help track and report on social media performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Conduct competitive research and stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and emerging platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., content, design, customer service) to ensure brand consistency.
• Maintain a social media content calendar.

Required Skills

• Proven experience (1+ year) in social media management or digital marketing, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1/C2 level).
• Creative mindset with an eye for compelling visual and textual content.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later).
• Basic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Fluency in German (B2/C1 level) is a significant plus.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for basic content creation.
• Demonstrated portfolio of social media content or campaigns.
