Job Description
We are seeking a talented and driven SEO Specialist to join our dynamic team in The Loop, Chicago. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for search engine optimization to make a significant impact on our clients’ digital presence. As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive targeted traffic, and enhance online visibility for a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value opportunities and inform content strategy.
- Perform technical SEO audits and provide recommendations for website architecture, crawlability, indexability, and site speed optimization.
- Optimize website content, metadata, and on-page elements to improve search engine rankings and user experience.
- Develop and execute link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and organic visibility.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
- Prepare regular performance reports, translating data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with content, development, and social media teams to ensure integrated digital marketing campaigns.
- Assist in the development of SEO proposals and presentations for prospective and existing clients.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SEO.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Experience with technical SEO audits and recommendations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of improving organic search performance for clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Google Analytics and/or Google Search Console certifications.
- Experience with international SEO and localization strategies.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Adobe Experience Manager.
- Experience working in an agency environment.
