Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of market, credit, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Develop, validate, and implement advanced risk models and methodologies to assess potential exposures.
  • Continuously monitor risk exposures against established limits, identifying and escalating potential breaches to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed and insightful risk reports and presentations for senior management, executive committees, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate effectively with various business units, including front office, operations, and technology, to integrate risk considerations into strategic planning and daily operations.
  • Actively participate in stress testing and scenario analysis exercises to evaluate the firm's resilience under adverse conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank), and best practices in risk management.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the firm's overall risk framework and governance processes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a risk management role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial products, capital markets, and core risk management principles.
  • Solid knowledge of financial regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis) and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex risk concepts clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA with a specialization in Finance, Risk Management, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Professional Risk Manager (PRM).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and/or database querying (SQL).
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
