Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Vancouver. In this hybrid role, you will play a critical part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various financial and operational risks across our business lines. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, conducting in-depth analysis, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key financial, operational, and strategic risks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and data modelling.
• Prepare comprehensive risk reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with business units to integrate risk considerations into their decision-making processes.
• Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and enhance risk management strategies.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of the team's risk expertise.
• Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving risk controls and efficiencies.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 60 months (5 years) of progressive experience in risk management within the financial services industry.
• Proven expertise in financial modelling, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI guidelines) and risk frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in risk management software and tools (e.g., SAS, Python, R, Excel).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, PRM).
• Experience with enterprise risk management (ERM) implementation.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques for risk assessment.
• Previous experience in a major Canadian financial institution.
