Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our team in Denver, CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring the effectiveness of controls across various business lines. This role involves analyzing complex data, preparing comprehensive reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will play a critical role in identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and contributing to the overall risk management framework of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex risk assessments, including operational, credit, market, and strategic risks.
  • Develop and implement risk measurement and monitoring tools and methodologies.
  • Analyze risk data and trends, identifying key areas of concern and potential opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their operations and integrate risk management best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and internal risk policies.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving risk processes and controls.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to risk management (e.g., CCAR, Basel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM.
  • Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software.
  • Prior experience at a large financial institution.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and predictive modeling.
