Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various risks across our business operations. You will work with diverse datasets, advanced analytical tools, and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop robust risk frameworks and strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses across various business units and product lines.
• Develop, implement, and maintain risk models, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
• Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and produce regular risk reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Identify emerging risks and trends, and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., finance, compliance, operations) to ensure consistent application of risk policies.
• Support the development and enhancement of risk appetite statements and limits.
• Participate in stress testing scenarios and capital planning processes.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on risk-related matters to business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a risk management role within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of various risk types (credit, market, operational, liquidity, reputational, etc.).
• Proficiency in risk modeling techniques and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex risk concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA).
• Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, IFRS 9.
• Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software solutions.
