Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Munich. This role is crucial in evaluating, monitoring, and mitigating financial and operational risks across various business units. The successful candidate will contribute to developing robust risk frameworks, conducting in-depth analyses, and providing strategic insights to senior management to ensure the stability and growth of Allianz SE.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced risk models and methodologies.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and stress testing across portfolios and business lines.
- Monitor key risk indicators and report on emerging risks and trends.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for executive management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with various departments to embed risk management best practices into daily operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on risk-related matters to internal stakeholders.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts related to risk management frameworks.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, markets, and risk measurement techniques (e.g., VaR, ES).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, Basel III) and their impact on risk management.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA).
- Experience with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
- Knowledge of German language is a plus.
- Experience with large datasets and big data technologies.
