Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our dynamic engineering team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test strategies for our advanced automotive software and systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our next-generation technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and identify defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-release support.
• Stay updated with emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Robot Framework).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards and protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, AUTOSAR).
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and scaling automation solutions.
