Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Fresno, California. This role is crucial for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents across our global infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to threat detection and incident response. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS) for security events, alerts, and anomalies.
• Perform initial triage, investigation, and analysis of security incidents to determine their scope, impact, and root cause.
• Escalate critical security incidents to appropriate teams and management, providing clear and concise incident summaries.
• Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and analysis, recommending remediation actions.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and incident response playbooks.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security monitoring and incident response processes.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and network security concepts.
• Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security implications.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors, techniques, and threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with incident response methodologies and frameworks (e.g., NIST, SANS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCIA).
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
• Experience working in a global enterprise environment.
