Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Consultant to join our growing team in Anchorage, Alaska. This role demands a strong understanding of security frameworks, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to adapt to evolving threat landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC).
• Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity architecture, secure system design, and data protection strategies.
• Respond to security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand security needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on security findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and regulations.
• Mentor junior security professionals and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Security Consultant or in a similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Experience with risk management, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing tools.
• Proficiency in network security, endpoint security, and cloud security principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with government contracting and federal security compliance (e.g., CMMC, FedRAMP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Prior experience working in a defense or intelligence environment.
