Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Security Architect to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This pivotal role involves designing, building, and implementing robust security solutions that protect our clients’ critical assets and data. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure architectures for complex systems and applications, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct security reviews and threat modeling exercises to identify vulnerabilities and risks in existing and proposed solutions.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations on security controls, technologies, and processes to project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to integrate security into the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Evaluate new security technologies and tools, recommending their adoption where appropriate to enhance our security capabilities.
• Lead security incident response efforts and provide architectural input for remediation strategies.
• Mentor junior security professionals and contribute to the growth of the security practice.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or in a similar senior security role.
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles, frameworks (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF), and methodologies.
• Expertise in cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in various security domains: network security, application security, data security, identity and access management (IAM).
• Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• Experience with security technologies such as WAF, SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, TOGAF).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation.
• Familiarity with container security and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Prior consulting experience with diverse client engagements.
