Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Security Architect to join our dynamic team in Manchester, United Kingdom. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure architectures for complex enterprise applications and infrastructure.
• Perform security reviews and provide recommendations for enhancing the security posture of existing systems.
• Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to integrate security into the SDLC (Secure Development Life Cycle).
• Evaluate new security technologies and make recommendations for their adoption.
• Act as a subject matter expert on security best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead incident response efforts related to architectural vulnerabilities.
• Mentor junior security engineers and promote a culture of security within the organisation.
• Develop detailed security architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or similar role in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of security architecture frameworks (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF, NIST).
• Expertise in cloud security principles and architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep knowledge of network security, application security, data security, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Familiarity with common security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, DLP.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, TOGAF.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tooling.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security testing.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles.
• Understanding of threat modeling methodologies and risk assessment techniques.
