Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust security architectures that protect our enterprise systems, applications, and data. You will provide expert guidance on security best practices, evaluate new technologies, and ensure our infrastructure adheres to the highest security standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and resilient security architectures for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organization.
• Conduct security reviews of existing and proposed systems, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Evaluate new security technologies and solutions, recommending appropriate tools and platforms.
• Provide expert consultation and guidance on security-related matters to various stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Lead incident response activities and contribute to post-incident analysis.
• Mentor junior security professionals and foster a culture of security awareness.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal security policies.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an information security architecture role.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing security solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of network security principles (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies).
• Extensive experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
• Proficiency in application security, including secure coding practices and vulnerability management.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or AWS/Azure security certifications.
• Experience with automation and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with container security and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Experience with data loss prevention (DLP) and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
