Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. This pivotal role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust security architectures across our enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving best practices in security engineering. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure architecture patterns and solutions for enterprise applications and infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Perform security reviews of architecture designs, systems, and applications, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Evaluate new security technologies and solutions, making recommendations for their adoption and integration.
• Lead security incident response efforts, providing architectural guidance and support during investigations and remediation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and regulations, continuously evolving our security posture.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a dedicated Security Architecture role.
• Proven experience with enterprise security architecture design and implementation.
• Expertise in cloud security architecture across major platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of network security, application security, data security, and identity & access management (IAM).
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) for automation and security tool development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security or a related discipline.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
• Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
• Experience in a global enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of compliance standards like HIPAA, PCI DSS, or SOC 2.
