Job Description

Prairie Berries Inc. is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Fruit Pickers / Farm Laborers to join our team in Prince Albert, SK. This is an immediate hiring opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for temporary, physical work. No prior experience is required; we provide all necessary training. As a key member of our harvest team, you will be responsible for carefully picking and handling berries to ensure the highest quality product. This role is crucial to our success during the peak season and offers a rewarding experience in a vibrant agricultural setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully pick and harvest various types of berries according to quality standards.
• Sort and package picked fruit directly in the field or at a designated station.
• Transport harvested fruit to collection points or processing areas as instructed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and farm protocols.
• Assist with other general farm labor tasks as needed, such as weeding, pruning, or basic equipment setup.
• Work efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment to meet daily harvest targets.

Required Skills

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Physical stamina and endurance to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, heat, light rain).
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, lifting, and carrying light to moderate loads (up to 20 lbs).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in agricultural work or manual labor is an asset but not required.
• Familiarity with fruit varieties and picking techniques.
• Basic understanding of farm safety practices.
