Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team in Sugar Land, TX. As a Room Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment during their stay. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness will directly contribute to our guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of our hotel. This position requires physical stamina, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily according to established standards and procedures
 - Change bed linens and make beds neatly and efficiently
 - Replenish guest room supplies (e.g., toiletries, coffee, stationery)
 - Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including scrubbing showers, toilets, and sinks
 - Vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors
 - Dust furniture, fixtures, and window sills
 - Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas
 - Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly to supervision
 - Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, escalating as needed
 - Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
 - Maintain a friendly, professional, and respectful demeanor with guests and fellow team members
 
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
 - Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
 - Excellent time management skills
 - Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push throughout the shift
 - Reliability and punctuality
 - Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and products
 - Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English
 
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
 - Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar cleaning role
 - Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and their safe usage
 - Ability to speak and understand a second language (e.g., Spanish)
