Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Robotics Engineer to join our innovative team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate robotic systems for industrial automation applications.
  • Program and configure industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB, Universal Robots) for specific tasks and workflows.
  • Develop and implement control algorithms and software for robotic manipulation, navigation, and human-robot interaction.
  • Conduct simulations and validations of robotic systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers.
  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing robotic installations.
  • Stay current with emerging robotic technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Document designs, specifications, test plans, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in robotics engineering or industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with industrial robot programming and integration (e.g., PLC programming, SCADA).
  • Strong understanding of control systems, kinematics, and dynamics of robotic manipulators.
  • Familiarity with robotic simulation software (e.g., Gazebo, V-REP, ROS Industrial).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with machine vision systems and sensor integration.
  • Knowledge of safety standards for robotic systems (e.g., ISO 10218, RIA R15.06).
  • Experience with collaborative robots (cobots).
  • Certifications in specific robot platforms (e.g., FANUC Certified Robot Programmer).
  • Previous experience with visa sponsorship processes.
