Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and analytical Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Calgary. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various financial and operational risks across the organization. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk analyses, developing risk management strategies, and providing insights to support informed decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, regulatory requirements, and risk methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and monitor financial, operational, credit, market, and other risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of risk exposures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with various business units to integrate risk management practices.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging risk trends.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in risk management or a related analytical role within the financial sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
