Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Denver. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various financial and operational risks across our business lines. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the stability and growth of a global financial institution, working with advanced analytical tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk management strategies and controls.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and internal data to anticipate future risks.
- Collaborate with business units to integrate risk management best practices into daily operations.
- Assist in the development and validation of risk models and frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of risk principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, CCAR).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or CFA/FRM certification.
- Experience with risk software platforms (e.g., SAS, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of credit risk, market risk, operational risk, or liquidity risk.
- Prior experience in a large banking or financial institution.
