Job Description
As a Risk Analyst at RBC, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across various business lines. You will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management frameworks, conducting detailed analyses, and providing actionable insights to senior management. This role requires a strong analytical mind, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements. You will work within a dynamic team to ensure RBC maintains a robust risk profile and adheres to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risks.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance risk models and methodologies.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk exposures.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for various stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor compliance with internal risk policies, limits, and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business units to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risk factors.
- Participate in stress testing and scenario analysis exercises.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of financial products, markets, and risk management principles.
