Job Description
Mitie is seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Retail Security Guards in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring security professionals as full license training will be provided to the right candidates. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff, protecting company assets, and responding to incidents in a professional manner. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol retail premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor alarm systems and CCTV cameras.
- Respond to emergency situations such as fires, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Deter theft and vandalism through visible presence.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to management and law enforcement.
- Assist customers and staff with inquiries and provide directions when needed.
- Complete accurate daily reports and incident logs.
- Enforce store policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security protocols.
Required Skills
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
