Job Description

As a Retail Customer Advisor at Nordstrom, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service and personalized styling advice to our valued customers. You will play a crucial role in creating memorable shopping experiences, building lasting relationships, and driving sales through your passion for fashion and commitment to customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to engaging with customers, a strong understanding of current trends, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively greet and engage customers, offering assistance and personalized styling advice.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current fashion trends, product knowledge, and store promotions.
• Assist customers with product selection, fitting room experiences, and checkout processes.
• Build and maintain client relationships through personalized follow-up and service.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
• Contribute to the visual merchandising and overall cleanliness of the sales floor.
• Achieve individual and team sales goals.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.

Required Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
• Demonstrated passion for fashion and retail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a luxury retail or customer-facing sales role.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for clienteling.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
