Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Waiting Staff to join our dynamic team at one of our premier hotel restaurants in Downtown Minneapolis. As a key member of our food and beverage service, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests, ensuring their satisfaction from arrival to departure. This role offers an immediate start for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to earn competitive tips.

You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and anticipating guest needs. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to service excellence, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly to tables.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience by checking on them regularly.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required Skills

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and service standards.
• Certification in food handling or responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).
