Job Description
Are you passionate about creating memorable dining experiences? The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Hamilton is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Waiters and Waitresses to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, friendly, and efficient service to guests.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Process payments and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area and workstation.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a full-service restaurant.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Smart Serve certification (Ontario requirement for serving alcohol).
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Aloha, Squirrel).
- Knowledge of steak cuts, wine pairings, and classic cocktails.
