Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in a bustling kitchen environment? D&D London is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Porters to join our vibrant team in Shoreditch. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to step into the hospitality industry, even without prior experience. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchens, ensuring our chefs can operate seamlessly to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and work surfaces.
- Operate and maintain dishwashers, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment are sparkling clean.
- Assist with the unloading and storage of deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and organisation.
- Support chefs by preparing ingredients, moving heavy items, and generally assisting with kitchen tasks as required.
- Empty bins and manage waste disposal according to company and environmental guidelines.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as peeling vegetables, if needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the senior kitchen staff promptly.
