Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team immediately at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Shreveport. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to start a career in the hospitality industry, requiring no prior experience. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, directly contributing to the smooth operation of our busy restaurant and the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workstation, including washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors, and walls.
• Assist with unloading and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycles.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen stations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.
