Job Description
Union League Cafe is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Busser / Food Runner to join our esteemed team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, even with no prior experience. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth service flow, supporting our waitstaff, and contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and clear tables efficiently before, during, and after service
- Restock silverware, glassware, and other dining essentials
- Assist servers by delivering food orders accurately and promptly from the kitchen to the dining tables
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless order delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service areas
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism and a helpful attitude
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as bread service or water pouring
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and carry trays of food and dishes (up to 25 lbs)
