Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Subscription Services Assistant to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role is crucial for ensuring seamless subscription management and providing exceptional support to our valued customers. You will be responsible for handling inquiries, processing requests, and maintaining accurate customer data, all while contributing to a positive customer experience from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries related to subscription services, including billing, package changes, and service activations.
  • Process new subscription sign-ups, modifications, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain precise customer records and subscription data within our CRM system.
  • Assist customers with basic troubleshooting of service-related issues, guiding them through common resolutions.
  • Identify and escalate complex technical or billing issues to the appropriate internal departments for advanced resolution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer service processes and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and effective customer support across various digital channels (email, chat, and potentially phone).

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer issues.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and standard office productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or subscription management role.
  • Familiarity with MultiChoice, DStv, or Showmax platforms and services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in additional South African languages (e.g., isiZulu, Afrikaans).
  • A tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing.
