Job Description

Bell Media is seeking a passionate and proactive Remote Podcast Community Moderator to join our growing digital audio team. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in fostering a vibrant, respectful, and engaging online community around our diverse portfolio of podcasts. As a Community Moderator, you will be the direct link between our podcast creators and their listeners, ensuring a positive and interactive environment across various platforms. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Canada, reporting to our Digital Content Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and moderate comments, discussions, and user-generated content across all designated podcast platforms, social media channels, and community forums.
  • Engage actively with listeners, responding to inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote positive interactions and discussions, escalating complex issues or negative trends to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Enforce community guidelines and terms of service, taking necessary actions to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Identify and report emerging trends, common questions, and community sentiment to inform content strategy and audience engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with podcast producers, marketing teams, and content creators to ensure brand consistency and community alignment.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of community guidelines and moderation best practices.
  • Contribute to building a loyal and active listener base by fostering a sense of belonging and shared interest.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in online community management or social media moderation.
  • Demonstrated passion for podcasts and digital audio content.
  • Excellent written communication skills with impeccable grammar and a friendly, professional tone.
  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics and best practices for fostering positive interaction.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain composure in potentially sensitive or conflict-driven situations.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram) and community management tools.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific podcast listening platforms and their community features.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic analytical tools.
  • Experience in customer service or public relations.
  • Knowledge of Canadian media landscape and popular culture.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
