Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Order Tracking Clerk to join our logistics and customer service team. In this 100% remote role, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of customer orders from placement to delivery. You will monitor shipments, update tracking information, communicate with customers and logistics partners, and resolve any issues that may arise during the order fulfillment process. This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track customer orders across various stages of the fulfillment process, ensuring timely updates and accurate information.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding order status, delays, and resolution of any issues.
- Liaise with logistics partners, couriers, and internal teams to resolve delivery discrepancies or problems.
- Maintain precise records of all order tracking activities, communications, and resolutions.
- Generate regular reports on order status, delivery performance, and common tracking issues.
- Identify and escalate complex order-related problems to appropriate departments for further action.
- Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related field, preferably in logistics or e-commerce.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and order tracking software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience with Jumia's platforms or other major e-commerce systems.
- Familiarity with various shipping methods and logistics procedures.
