Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and culturally astute Remote Meme Creator & Community Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for engaging our global community, fostering a positive online environment, and ensuring our brand presence is vibrant and relatable. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and deploying trending meme content, as well as actively managing and interacting with our online community across various platforms. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the Berlin area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and create original, witty, and culturally relevant memes and short-form visual content.
- Monitor and engage with community discussions, comments, and inquiries across TikTok and other social media platforms.
- Identify emerging internet trends, popular culture references, and viral content opportunities to integrate into content strategy.
- Respond to community feedback, questions, and concerns in a timely, professional, and brand-appropriate tone.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, content, and social media teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and voice.
- Assist in the planning and execution of online community events, campaigns, and challenges.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere within the online community.
- Track and report on community engagement metrics and meme performance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in meme creation, social media content development, and visual storytelling.
- Deep understanding of internet culture, social media platforms (especially TikTok), and trending online phenomena.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of tone and humor.
- Proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, GIMP) for quick content creation.
- Experience in community management or online moderation.
- Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a remote work environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Previous experience working for a major brand or platform with a large online community.
- Knowledge of additional languages relevant to our global audience (e.g., German, French, Spanish).
