Job Description

Are you passionate about building and nurturing online communities? Canva is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Remote Community Growth Assistant to help us expand and engage our global user community. This fully remote role involves supporting our community initiatives, fostering positive interactions, gathering user feedback, and contributing to the overall growth and health of the Canva ecosystem. You will be a vital link between our users and our product teams, ensuring our community feels valued and heard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and engage actively with Canva's online communities across various platforms (forums, social media, groups).
  • Respond to community inquiries, feedback, and support needs in a timely, empathetic, and informative manner.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing online community events, webinars, and challenges.
  • Help identify community trends, emerging issues, and opportunities for engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and support teams to align community initiatives with broader company goals.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging content (e.g., announcements, tips, tutorials) to foster community participation.
  • Support community moderation efforts to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Compile and present regular reports on community sentiment, growth, and key metrics.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 1+ year of experience in online community management, social media management, or customer support.
  • Proven ability to engage and interact with diverse online audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Familiarity with various online community platforms and social media channels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience with graphic design tools, especially Canva.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices for community engagement.
  • Previous experience working in a fully remote role.
  • Ability to analyze community data and provide actionable insights.
