We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Real Estate Analyst to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, Indiana. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses for potential real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
- Perform detailed market research, including competitor analysis, demographic trends, and economic indicators, to identify opportunities and risks.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Assist in due diligence processes for new investments, including reviewing legal documents, financial statements, and third-party reports.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of existing assets, providing regular updates and recommendations to optimize value.
- Develop and maintain complex Excel-based models to support strategic planning and forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leasing, property management, and legal, to gather data and insights.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the real estate market.
- Support senior analysts and portfolio managers on various ad-hoc projects as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation, and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of real estate finance principles and investment strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience with real estate specific software (e.g., Argus Enterprise).
- Previous experience in a real estate investment bank, private equity firm, or a major real estate owner/developer.
- CFA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with various real estate asset classes (retail, office, residential, industrial).
