Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance front-end applications using React.js and related technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to translate design mockups and wireframes into clean, functional code.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and mentor junior team members.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a React Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- In-depth understanding of React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with popular React workflows (e.g., Flux or Redux, Context API).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorisation mechanisms (e.g., JWT).
- Experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
- Proficiency with version control tools, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests for front-end components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
