Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Quantitative Mathematician to join our dynamic Global Markets team in Boston. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to complex financial problems, contributing directly to our trading strategies, risk management, and quantitative analysis. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and validating sophisticated models that drive decision-making across various asset classes. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and validate quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and trading strategies across various asset classes.
  • Perform in-depth statistical analysis on large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk managers to understand business needs and translate them into quantitative solutions.
  • Research and apply cutting-edge mathematical and statistical methodologies, including machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
  • Document models, methodologies, and findings comprehensively for internal and regulatory review.
  • Maintain and enhance existing quantitative tools and infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, academic research, and regulatory changes relevant to quantitative finance.

Required Skills

  • PhD or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or a related highly quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in quantitative analysis, model development, or a related field, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java.
  • Expertise in advanced mathematical modeling, stochastic calculus, numerical methods, and statistical inference.
  • Experience with large datasets and database management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with financial markets, instruments, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at relevant conferences.
  • CFA or FRM certification is a plus.
