Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our dynamic team in Memphis, TN. This role is crucial for developing and implementing sophisticated quantitative models and tools that support our trading, risk management, and investment strategies. The successful candidate will work on challenging problems, contributing directly to key business decisions and helping to drive innovation across our financial products. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization across various asset classes.
- Perform statistical analysis on large datasets to identify market trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk managers to understand their needs and translate them into robust quantitative solutions.
- Validate and back-test models to ensure accuracy, stability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate complex quantitative concepts and results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our quantitative libraries and analytical infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging quantitative techniques.
Required Skills
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a quantitative role within the financial services industry.
- Strong programming skills in Python (Numpy, Pandas, SciPy) and/or C++.
- Solid understanding of probability theory, stochastic calculus, numerical methods, and statistical modeling.
- Experience with financial instruments, derivatives pricing, and risk models (e.g., VaR, stress testing).
- Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale financial datasets and high-performance computing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed computing.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their applications in finance.
- Publications in relevant quantitative journals or conference presentations.
- CFA designation or progress towards it.
