Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in design reviews, production process development, and product validation.
- Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to integrate quality into every stage.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.
- Train and mentor junior staff on quality principles and practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
- Experience with specific industry standards relevant to Siemens' sectors (e.g., railway, energy, industrial automation).
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
