Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our corporate communications team in Moncton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing public relations strategies that enhance Bell Canada’s brand reputation, foster positive media relations, and support our business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in media engagement, content creation, and issues management. While not explicitly a requirement, we are open to considering candidates who may require visa sponsorship and meet all other qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers.
  • Draft and edit press releases, media advisories, speeches, articles, and other PR materials.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, and report on PR campaign effectiveness.
  • Assist in crisis communication and issues management to protect and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, legal, product) to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Organize and manage media events, press conferences, and executive interviews.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform PR strategies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations and pitching capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in content creation (press releases, articles, etc.).
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • Master's degree or post-graduate certificate in a relevant field.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
  • Experience with social media management for corporate communications.
  • Previous experience assisting candidates with visa sponsorship applications.
