Job Description
Bupa is seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Health Advisor to join our growing team in Southampton. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to improve community health outcomes and provide expert guidance on public health initiatives. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that address key health challenges, ensuring our services align with national and local health priorities, and contributing to a healthier society.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance on public health policies, strategies, and interventions.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs and initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive health needs assessments and data analysis to identify key public health challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to foster strong working relationships and drive collective impact.
- Monitor and report on public health trends, outcomes, and the effectiveness of programs.
- Develop educational materials and deliver presentations to promote health awareness and preventative care.
- Contribute to bids and proposals for public health projects and funding opportunities.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public health advisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including proficiency in statistical software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of UK public health policy, regulations, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate (PhD) in a relevant public health discipline.
- Professional registration with a public health body (e.g., UKPHR).
- Experience with health economics or health impact assessment.
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
- Experience working within a private healthcare provider or consulting environment.
