Job Description
St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team in Boise, Idaho. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Psychiatrist looking to advance their career in a supportive and resource-rich environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients across various age groups. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with primary care physicians, therapists, and other specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care and monitoring for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including primary care, social workers, and therapists.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
Required Skills
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Idaho (current license preferred).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practice.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship (e.g., J-1 waiver, H-1B transfer).
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Subspecialty training or experience (e.g., Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry).
- Experience working in an integrated healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
